Email personalization is a technique to make your emails more relevant and interesting to the recipients, something which can help to increase your email open rate as well as the overall success of your campaign.
There can be a significant difference between an email sent without any personal information and one with personal information. If you address the recipient by name instead of "valued customer" for instance the recipient is likely to respond more positively to your message and the chances of him or her reading and taking any desired action would be greater than if some sort of personalization were not included.
The creation and sending of personalized emails would be a tedious and time consuming job if it were necessary to do this manually however the system can take care of this aspect of things for you simply, easily and automatically.
All that is necessary to achieve the desired personalization is to create your email content as usual but with special "personalization tags" and the system will do the rest, merging those tags with each recipient’s information and injecting it into the message content and delivering the messages as scheduled.
In order to personalize your emails, you need to have the necessary information in your subscriber lists. To achieve this custom fields need to be present or created in your subscriber lists and these lists imported into the system with the relevant information
Once you have the required information about your subscribers you can then proceed and create your campaign and personalize it.
While editing your email campaign content, the system provides a list of personalization tags in a drop down list as shown in the below screenshot.
You can select the necessary personalization tag - it may look strange in the beginning but all of these values will be replaced with the matching values at the time of the delivery.
